WESTERN
GRANADA
|
 |
The
natural connection between the east and west of Andalucia was an
unavoidable passage and cross culture from prehistory.
A large diversity of landscapes, with forests, flowing gorges, green
terraces and almost deserted elevations, where ochres that cool and
heat in a chromatic waste, mark the orography of the location. In the
middle of such natural beauty, picturesque hamlets compete in the
conservation of its valuable historical and cultural legacy. |

Why
the last frontier of Andalucia ? our lands dotted with evidence of
Spanish muslim monumental importance, they build a scenery of some of
the last episodes in the collapse of King Nazari of Granada. The castles
of Loja, Illora, Zagra and Montefrio were the reflection of the fear that
was ruling on the frontier between two very different cultures and
religions the Spanish muslim and the incipient renaissance, which
offer magnificent architectural examples ( the muslim baths of Alhama).
